Which book publishers are actually worth trusting today?

I’ve been exploring different book publishers for my manuscript, but it’s getting confusing with so many options out there. Some seem reliable, others not so much. What should I really look for when choosing book publishers? Has anyone had genuine experiences—good or bad? I’d appreciate honest suggestions before making a final decision.
