Funny or Elegant: What Style Works Best for Bard Names?

Hi everyone,

I’m debating between choosing funny or elegant bard names and could use some advice. Do humorous names enhance roleplay and make the character more memorable, or do refined, poetic names fit the bard archetype better?

I’m also curious how tone affects immersion in campaigns or stories. Have you noticed certain naming styles resonate more with players or readers? If you’ve created bards before, what style did you choose and why? I’d love to hear your thoughts, examples, and suggestions for choosing the perfect bard name.
