How is the Camel Ride Experience in Dubai?

I’m curious about trying a camel ride Dubai during my upcoming trip. I know many desert safari packages include it, but I’d like to know how long the ride usually lasts and if it’s more of a photo opportunity or a real desert journey. For those who’ve done it, was the camel ride comfortable and worth it? Do you recommend booking it with a morning/evening desert safari or as a standalone activity?
