Seeking Guidance on Hunting Permissions with FX Impact

I recently picked up an FX Impact and want to start using it for pest control and small game hunting on private property. What’s the best way to approach landowners for permission? Do you bring paperwork, offer services in exchange, or just ask directly? Also, do any of you carry ID or airgun laws on hand to show it’s legal? Any successful (or failed) attempts would help. I’m new to this and want to approach it respectfully and smartly. Advice from experienced hunters welcome!
